How do you protect intellectual property in OEM and high-security equipment?

For OEM-manufactured and IP-sensitive equipment, IP protection is built into the disposition itself. We do not resell, refurbish, or harvest parts from any OEM equipment built within the most recent six calendar years — newer equipment is routed to destruction regardless of resale value to protect current-generation technology. Client-branded items routed to scrap are de-identified before destruction, and serialized Certificates of Destruction are issued for data-bearing equipment and any other equipment a client asks us to destroy. Clients can request enhanced protections, including on-site witnessed destruction, at any time.

With a Salvage-Rate Credit, you receive a predictable, agreed credit settled at fixed salvage rates — simple to forecast and budget against. With a Revenue-Share Credit, you receive a share of the net proceeds when assets are remarketed or sold for commodity value — capturing upside when equipment still carries residual value. Either way, you receive serialized reporting and a transparent net settlement.

Yes. For sensitive assets, we can perform witnessed on-site destruction with certificates issued on the spot, so your team can verify destruction without the equipment ever leaving your control. We also provide secure on-site staging containers between scheduled pickups and dispatch a local pickup when a container is full or a project is ready.

How do you handle export-controlled equipment?

Specialized equipment and the technical data tied to it can fall under ITAR or EAR jurisdiction. We screen controlled items against U.S. Munitions List and Commerce Control List indicators and route restricted equipment and technical data to compliant handling or destruction, so resale and disposition never become an unauthorized export.
